- My name is Olinga Yarber-Alexander.
I’m running for Tracy School Board. I have a BA Degree in Social Science, and a M.S. Degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs. I’ve been active in the Tracy Community for many years. In the past, I was a mentor and teacher with the Youth Discovery Program at Kimball High School. Presently, I am Education/Scholarship Chair for Tracy African American Association a non-profit Organization, Member, Board Member and Speaker Chair for Tracy Kiwanis Club. I was voted Kiwanian of the year 2019, and received the MLK Image Award in 2019. I have supported and partnered with the BSU Students for workshops, attended school board meetings, participated in the homecoming parade for Tracy High and West High School. I have Supported students who needed to earn community service hours, participated in MLK Breakfast, 2022 MLK Day of Service, served food, given care packages to the homeless at Pescadero Park , conducted Scholarship Workshops and working sessions in the local high schools. I have been responsible for awarding graduating seniors scholarships to further their educational journey. I have also volunteered to register citizens of Tracy for Covid 19 vaccine and booster shots. - I am also a Notary and Notary Signing Agent for the State of California. I have two grandchildren who attend elementary and middle school in the city of Tracy.
- I am also a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
